Even as a child, I was passionate about cooking. I am most comfortable in the kitchen where I find joy, comfort, and calm in creating new recipes or improving old ones. I delight in finding new ways of using spices and other ingredients, like creating a chili ice-cream or jam from a variety of chilies left over in my freezer.
I was born in Nigeria and currently reside in the United States where I have developed a love and appreciation for American style Southern cooking. What better way to pay homage to the two regions that have nourished and fed me, than in fusing African and Southern flavors and creating dishes to excite the palate, nourish the body and feed the soul.
